Advantages and disadvantages of lace
The flower structure of lace was not obtained by knitting or weaving, but by twisting yarn. The editor has sorted out the relevant content, and welcome to appreciate and learn from it.
1. Chemical fiber lace
It is the general name of the most common type of lace fabric, mainly made of nylon and spandex. Its texture is generally thin and hard, and it may feel a little pricked if it is directly contacted with the skin. But the advantages of chemical fiber lace are low cost, many patterns, many colors, and strong and not easy to break. The disadvantage of chemical fiber lace is that it feels bad, pricks people, can't be ironed at high temperature, has no elasticity, and can't be worn as a personal dress. And generally speaking, due to the cost of chemical fiber lace, it is often used in cheap clothes, so it will give people a feeling of "relatively cheap".
2. Cotton lace
Generally, it is a kind of lace made by embroidering the lace shape with cotton thread on the cotton interlining, and then cutting off the hollow part of the cotton cloth. Cotton lace is also a relatively common type. You can see it on many clothes. Its elasticity is basically the same as cotton. The advantages of cotton lace are low cost, not easy to break, can be ironed at high temperature, and good feel. However, the disadvantage of cotton lace is that it is easy to wrinkle, less modeling, and basically only white. Generally speaking, cotton lace is a good alternative if the cost is considered and the chemical fiber lace with strong sense of cheapness is not used.
3. Cotton lace
As the name implies, it is lace woven with cotton thread. Cotton lace is made of cotton thread, so its thickness is generally thicker and its feel is generally rough. The advantages and disadvantages of cotton lace are similar to those of cotton lace. The shape of cotton lace is a little more than that of cotton lace, the cost is a little more expensive, and it is not easy to wrinkle, but it is not easy to fold and bend because of its thickness. Generally speaking, cotton lace is usually used on some smaller lace in clothing, which is not very noticeable.
4. Embroidered lace
It is to embroider the lace shape with cotton and polyester on a layer of gauze, and then cut off the outline. Because the lining cloth is gauze, the feel will change according to the hardness of the gauze, but generally speaking, the softer embroidery lace made of softer gauze will be better. Compared with the above three types, embroidery lace has the advantages of soft and smooth feel, not easy to wrinkle, folding and good elasticity. The disadvantage of embroidery lace is that it can't be ironed at high temperature, has less shape and is easy to tear. Generally speaking, clothes with high requirements for softness and materials will basically use embroidered lace, such as the lining of skirts and underwear.
5. Water-soluble lace
It is to use polyester thread or viscose filament to weave the lace pattern on a piece of backing paper. After completion, use water with higher temperature to dissolve the backing paper, leaving only the body of the lace, known as water-soluble lace. Because the number of stitches of water-soluble lace is more than that of the above lace, the cost of water-soluble lace is also more expensive. The advantages of water-soluble lace are that it feels very good, soft and smooth, slightly elastic, shiny, three-dimensional, and has many patterns. The disadvantages of water-soluble lace are high cost, thick, not easy to fold and cannot be ironed at high temperature. Generally speaking, the clothes with good workmanship and material are basically made of water-soluble lace. The price of water-soluble lace with good workmanship may reach tens or even hundreds of yuan/meter.
